Hello everyone! How has you summer been? This summer has been very eventful, as I had many things to do, and even more things to prepare for!
The first thing was that I had exams. And Anime Evolution. At the same time. Fuck.
You see, on Friday, I had an exam, and then I also had one on Monday and Tuesday, hence I should've studied. SHOULD'VE. But I was like "Fuck this shit!" and went to the convention anyway. I bought lots of
SO! After pulling off a couple of all-nighters to study for those two exams after the convention, I actually managed to get an A on both!! Everyone, PROCRASTINATION IS THE ANSWER!!! >:D
After exams, life was pretty relaxing. Until the beginning of summer school. Ugh... I was having so much fun sleeping in and doing nothing! Sigh... T-T English 10 in summer school actually wasn't that bad, since my teacher never really gave us much homework, and we watched a lot of movies, but still, 6 weeks was still really long for me... Luckily I managed to pass with a B, but I'm not sure what my mark is after my exam. Probably went down, since I had no idea what to write on the long answer questions.
SO!! AFTER THAT! I had my uncle's wedding to get ready for. That means many dinners, visiting family, and shopping for "nice clothes". Now, when I say nice clothes, it doesn't just mean something fancy and pretty. No, it means that I have to buy and wear a DRESS. A god damn DRESS. That's NICE. Damn it. And shoes to go with that NICE DRESS. Shit.
In the end, I ended up wearing a nice top with a nice skirt, in these nice and PAINFUL shoes. They were heels, and they REALLY hurt my feet. And when I was walking up the stairs, I stepped on the edge of my skirt TWICE and made two holes. It was a bad day, but the free food was good. Shark's fin soup~! ; )
The day after the wedding, we picked up Nozomi from the airport. Nozomi is the exchange student that's living at my house for the exchange. In February she'll be going to live at Rababa's house. Anyway, she's very nice, and really cute! Nozomi also knows lots of English, so we can talk to her just fine. She's also fun to poke, which is also a bonus! One thing though is that she is VERY Japanese. She's really polite, and also really modest, and always asks us what we want to do first. This isn't bad, but it can get tiring when we ask her what she wants and then she says that me or aidelle can choose first. It can be quite exhausting after a while. But I still love her! Can't wait for her to visit me in Japan in June!!
After that, I had about 2-3 weeks of down time.
Once down time was over, me and family went to Hawaii for a week~!
We went to Kehei, Maui, and we all went to the beach 4 out of 7 days. I think the sun kind of raped us, since everyone got a sun burn the first day, and it only got worse every day we went to the beach. We all started peeling, and it was really gross. We went to a luau, and there was really good food. We tried something called poi. It's just mushed up taro, but it tastes like nothing. I mean, NOTHING. The reason you're supposed to eat it is that the thing you eat AFTER the poi is supposed to taste really good, since poi tastes like NOTHING. So, it made the chicken taste good, even though the poi itself tasted like shit.
Anyways, after we came back from Hawaii, I had about 3 days to pack all the things that I needed for Japan. Great. So the first day back, we went to Splashdown Park. Smart, right? After that, it was like all hell had gone loose. I had to find all the clothes I needed for a WHOLE year, I needed to pack all the Nendoroids on my shelf (since I couldn't leave them out, or they would've gotten dusty), and I had to remember and find all the crap that I wanted to bring. Everyone was in my room helping me out. Aidelle was packing my nendoroids, Nozomi was telling me what I needed, and Mom was being a worrywart, but helping me pack my clothes. And so, I finished the day before I had to leave. Once again, procrastination is the answer.
So right now I am in Japan, at school, typing this while I should be doing research. Later I'l probably post about my 3 day vacation with Mom in Tokyo, and Akihabara, and my first impression of my new school for a year.
So, bye bye for now!
P.S. Maybe I'll add a video later, since there's no flashplayer on the school computers (where I am typing this right now), and cause I want to choose a good song. Ahh, the options...

Damn. Life sucks so hard when teachers go crazy during exam time. I think I'll go in a hole and rot until convention time.
Anyway, enough with the depressingness. We'll get back to it later. Now I'm gonna start fawning over my beautiful shipment of goodness!!
My Large and Beautiful Anime Haul!! X3
On Wednesday I finally received the happy news that after 4 weeks of anticipation I finally received my large shipment of gold. A couple months ago Rightstuf had an AMAZING sale with DVDs going up to 95% off. And guess what? All of the Fullmetal and Eureka Seven was only $4-$10 (whether you want the boxes or not) a disc!!! :D :D :D.
Let's just say there was much clicking and exciting yelling to be had.
In the aftermath, I ended up spending about $200 on 25 discs and some number of boxes.
...
Well fudge. Now I am officially on money-saving modenot really and will be saving the rest of it for the convention and my exchange to Japan so I will be able to buy lots of great things when I get there. Or more figures.
Which brings me to two important topics:
WooT!! Anime Convention! :D
This year I will be attending Anime Evolution 09 at the Vancouver Convention Center this June 12 to 15. I'm so very excited for it, as the venue is going to be a lot nicer, and will probably have a lot more space. And it's also a lot closer to my house!! But even after all the excitement, the convention is still a double edged sword for me!! (TAT)
And now my rant of the day... (actually, I have two)
F*cking Exams. D:< D:< D:<
Why is it that this year of all years my Socials exam must be on Friday June 12, and my Science and Math exams on Monday June 15?!?!?!?!?!? D:< D:< D:<
This is going to make it the best/worst weekend of my grade 9 year!!! Why you do dis to meironic world, why!?!?!?!?!?!?!? (TAT) (TAT) (TAT)
Now that weekend is going to be hell. HELL I SAY! HELL!!!
I'm going to be SWAMPED with my studying, and I might even have to miss a day, even though I payed for it!!!
WHY WORLD, WHY!?!?!?
And... calm. (=_=)~* Phoo...
Well, I guess I've been listening to this song a lot because it's very fun.And right now the world isn't!! D:<
Now it's time to finally introduce the musical stylings of May'n as Sheryl Nome (the other female lead) and Nakajima Megumi as Ranka Lee in another Macross Frontier video. (Do I always go in twos with the music videos from animes??)
Must be one of the best mixes I've ever heard! :D I feel better! (Though I wish I could find one with subs...)
Anyway, enough with the depressingness.

Yes, I have now decided to revive this dead journal after months of unposting, because I simply suddenly felt the urge to! :D (Or because I actually have something to write about. :P)
On to the randomness!
Randomness Time!! (So pretty much figure time.)
A few months ago I finally decided to start collecting figures, but mostly nendoroids, cause they're amazingly cute.
Bad Idea. Period.
It's not that they're awful or anything (although PVC does smell funny and is scratchable), or that they don't make me happy (nendoroids take care of that!). It's just that now I'm constanly broke! (TAT) Nendoroids may be small, but damn do they cost a lot! D: And the fact that there are over 50 different ones and wonderful (but expenzive ($_$) exclusives does not help the situation. (-_-;)
But enough of a collector's woes! (>.<) Onto ze anime! :D
Anime Rant
Out of all the shows from this year's wonderful spring season, I have decided to follow Eden of the East, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (who isn't :P), Phantom ~ Requiem of the Phantom, Shangri-La, and 07-Ghost up until a *certain dramatic event* to see if I'll follow it after that.
I'm a big fan of the 07-Ghost manga (cause it's awesome sauce!! :D), but something just irks me about the anime. It could be the fact that the animation is kinda meh, the character designer decided to unleash a horde of bishiegay guys (here come the frightening yaoi fangirls!! DX), and that Mikage is gay (or that he just went metro on us). It's not that I have a problem with that, but why can't two guys just stay friends instead of becoming "friends" in an anime anymore?? (Yes, I am referring to you, Code Geass.) That just bugs me. And before I end my rant against the anime version, I just want to add that it is taking FOREVER to get to the *certain dramatic event*! I mean come on, cut the filler already!! D:< In the manga it took less than 2 volumes to get there, but it's taking the anime a 1/4 of it's run!!! Hopefully it'll happen this week, as the previews look promising. And evil Mikage looks hot!! >:3. I'm also basing the fact that it's taking 1/4 of it's run on the assumption that it will probably be about 26 episodes, but who knows, it might be the next KKM. (OH GOD NO!! DX)
And... deflate. (=_=)~* Phoo...
Now it's time for older anime from seasons past!! >:D
Lately I've been watching Gankutsuou myself, and Macross Frontier with Shorty, and I have to say, both of them are great!
Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo:
So far this anime is just AMAZING on all levels!! *(;_;)* The writing just keeps getting better and better by the episode, the music is very great, the voice acting is also good (especially the French!!), and the art style is something that I've never seen done before! How it's done is actually quite interesting though. It seems that the animators took the hair and clothes of the characters, and replaced the colours with textures, leaving it looking like the characters are walking over a large picture, because when parts of their body moves, the pattern stays the same. At first this style looks a bit odd and dizzying to the eye, but once you get used to it, it's something that you just can't look away from!
I've only watched about half of this series, and I can never wait to see the next episode of it! I could go on and on about how cool the art style is, or how amazing the writing and characters of the show are, but I suggest that you watch this show for yourself, and experience the amazingness that is Gankutusuou!
Macross Frontier: I'll probably be doing a summary on it later, cause I've already finished watching it, but for right now, all I have to say is that the music is really good, Ranka Lee is probably THE cutest anime character ever animated (can't wait for Megahouse's Excellent Model of her!! XD), and DECULTURE!! ;D
Sorry about the ultra long post, but I guessI've had to catch up on all the things I haven't posted about yet!
And now it's time for a song that has been infecting my head to get stuck in yours!! ;3

The best day of the year has finally come! ~♥
You know, I feel very satisfied with the way my most favourite day of the year went. Even though I didn't get a locker birthday scroll like I'd been hoping for, it's all good. >.< i guess that was a bit too much to ask, although this is the second year my birthday has not been during the break...
Unfortunately the coming of this day also marks the second day back to school, which does make me sad, but also kinda happy. Quite a lot of people actually noticed it was my birthday, and I really didn't know why, @_@ it kinda freaked me out... until someone told me that Facebook actually notifies your friends when it's your birthday, so that took away myfear of stalkers confusion. T-T aaah, I really am stupids... I was also happy because my friends remembered what the day was. I even got a birthday note from Pokey (my self given name to one of my friends), which made me happy. ~_~ Poky stuck a note at the end about learning Chinese though, which kinda pissed me off. i'm not good at learing Chinese, even though i am Chinese. wow, i really am a banana. XD
One thing that makes me really sad on this day though is that it always reminds me that I'm the oldest person in my year at my school. >_< i'm still searching for someone, ANYONE, who is born earlier than January 6. hopefully there will be a New Years baby somewhere in my school.
Stepping away from the topic of my most favourite day of the year, 3 days ago me and Shorty finished watching Baccano!, including the 3 extra DVD only episodes. >:( God they were a pain in the ass to find! I'm happy that we finally got through it, because it's been about a couple of years since I last watched it. I totally plan on getting the DVDs when they come out though, and I hope that they have episodes 14-16 on it! >.< cause if they don't i'll be really pissed!
Now that I'm ending with a paragraph on Baccano! I might as well showcase it's amazing ending song!
I really love this song. It is just so beautiful.

Ah the new year, how wonderful it is that it's finally here. Party poppers were fired, confetti thrown, but most important of all, I got New Years money from my relatives!! XD Yays! More money to spend on useless manga!
Unfortunately, the passing of New Years also means that I have to go back to school in 4 days! T-T Nooooooozzzz!!! I am currently working on mytotally biased review of Twilight for english. I'm actually enjoying this assignment very much, because I get to trash one of the worst novels I've ever read, and I get to draw a picture of it too. :) I'm thinking a Bella stalks Edward pic.
About 2 days ago me (rewatching) and Shorty (actually watching) started Baccano!. Baccano! (yes, the exclamation point is supposed to be there) is one of my most favourite series and is one of the best anime I've ever seen. :D It's in my top 5! The way it tells its story with alternate timelines and from the points of view of every character, and not from the perspective of one main character, in my opinion was very creative. Although in the beginning this form of storytelling will confuse people, it helps the viewer completely understand the incident by the end of it,
;) this also gives you a good reason to buy the DVD and watch it again!, and also gives us insight into each of the characters, so that you can (almost) completely understand all of them, without them going into strange internal monologues about themselves. -_- Those always annoy me at least a little because they're a cheap way to develop characters.
To conclude, I'm very happy the New Year has finally come, and I'm hoping for a good one, in terms of school work, life, and luck. :D Maybe enough to net me an exchange to Japan for a year!
Happy NewCheese Year, and don't forget to make resolutions that you can try to, but you know in the end you won't, keep! >.< Gotta think of a good one!
And now for some awesome jazz (I think) music, brought to you by Paradise Lunch. We make damn good food.
Probably one of the best anime openings ever.

So happy!! Christmas has finally come! >.< YAYS!! Actually, Christmas came at midnight last night, when we opened our presents from our parents and Santa. -_-; Yes, my parents STILL give me Santa presents... From my parents I got the DS game Pokemon Diamond (although Shorty already has one), a really nice pillow, >.< I love its!! 50 dollars to waste spend on manga or DVDs, and a hot water bottle cover that looks like a cow. =_= What???
Today (or yesterday, since it's past midnight), from my other relatives I got 100 dollars altogether from my grandma+grandpa and great-grandma, some kind of mini sushi model set from my grandma's friend, :) I see her a lot. and from my uncle and soon-to-be aunt I got... Twilight and New Moon.
#%*&#@*$!?!?!?
*_* I really hate Twilight with a passion!
When I opened the wrapper and saw the name Stephenie Meyer I was like oh $@*%!!! in my brain. Apparently, my soon-to-be aunt actually LIKED the abomination that is the Twilight series. Who the hell wouldv'e known??? O_O ??? I mean me, my mom, Shorty, my cousin, and pretty much every female in my family that I know of that has read it hates it, or at least didn't like it. But still, what the #%$@!? I bet almost every teenage girl has received the Twilight novels or something from the series from someone who honestly didn't know what else to get a teenage girl, and who unfortunately heard of the series and howoverrated popular it is with my gender/age group. At least I got the receipts with it, so I can exchange it for something that WON'T melt my brain. :3 Maybe I'll buy some Fullmetal Alchemist manga with the extra cash. That would be so much more worth my time.
But anyway, enough about Twilight! A few hours ago I finished rewatching Darker than Black with Shorty. No matter how many times I watch the ending, it still REALLY bothers me!! >_< Why?? It just leaves a lot unexplained, like how Hei stopped the anti-gate laser thing without destroying Japan, or if Yin is even ALIVE in the end. I so hope they make a sequel, one that creates a way better ending and still includes the pink haired otaku chick. :D She was one of my favourite characters!
Ranting about things really does make me feel a lot better though, so thank you for reading through. -_- That is, if there even IS anyone reading through.
One good thing about Darker than Black though is the cool opening music, and so this will be how I leave you for the day. Get ready for boxing day sales, and Merry Post-Christmas!
I like this one a lot more than the first opening, although the first one fit the series better. :)

Waaah... I bought a lot of stuffs today... =_= zz Totally out of it. At least I got all the shopping done, except for this ONE person. Fortuneately that person is the one in my family who I like least, so it's all good. :D Feeling better. Unfortuneately, mother is making me buy my present for this person later, so that kinda sucks. D: Down again.
I'm still rewatching Darker than Black with Shorty, and have been thinking about getting the first DVD. -_- hmm... to buy or not to buy? THAT is the question. It's a good show, and I really like Yin, but the end is what's seriously putting me off. >_< It really does bother me! When BONES decides whether or not it's making a sequel, THEN I'll make my decision. :< Aaah, but that could take a while...
I hope I get lots of money for Christmas, cause I want to expand my anime DVD collection. I've already got Code Geass Part 1 and 2 and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I'm planning to get Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven, Baccano!, Seirei no Moribito, and Millenium Actress sometime next year. :) Don't let me down Santa!
Well, Merry Cheesemas, and good luck with your gifts!
Now it's time for a song by the wonderfully talented Rie fu! ^.^ I love her music and her voice!
I love it! It's such a pretty song.

I'm also happy because I finally started watching Seirei no Moribito (Guardian of the Spirit). I got up to the first 3 episodes, and it's very interesting so far. The art and animation is amazing, and I really like Balsa. I'm hoping to finish it before the end of winter break, so wish me luck. >:) I'm very determined!
The music from the Moribito is also really good!
This song has been stuck in my head for the last 3-4 days. >_< aah, it gets annoying after a while.
I also started rewatching Darker than Black with my sister, although I think she thinks it's kind of boring. I thought the beginning was kind of boring, it didn't seem to have much of a plot, and it was just another show that repeated the same cycle every few episodes, but as things went on it became really interesting, and I really liked everything about it, EXCEPT FOR THE END. The last arc just came out of nowhere, and at the end I was like wtf happened??? >_< Made me very angry! Even the OVA didn't explain anything!! I was hoping for at least SOMETHING that would conclude the series better! ):< Still angry about it! I'm hoping that the document BONES leaked is true, and that they're making a second series which will hopefully end the series better and explain a lot more. (: Kinda like Code Geass!
I'm so very happy that winter vacation has finally come! Merry Christmas to everyone, and good luck finding anime to watch for the holidays!

Since I have a blog on livejournal, I might as well post on it at least once. But now I have a new issue: what hell am I gonna write about??? =_= ?
Well, lately I've wanted to start watching Seirei no Moribito and Macross Frontier, but as of late I've been very busy, what with the end of the school term coming and the teachers going crazy with tests and winter break assignments (-_- ~ * aaah, so tired right now...), so I haven't been able to watch anything new. ]:< agitated
For the last week or so I've also been obsessed with collecting Code Geass and Gundam Seed chara fortunes (which are cute keychains of the charcters in chibi style), because the only ones I have are Flay (manipulative bitch), Rolo (gay incested brother who doesn't understand the concept of personal space), and school uniform Lulu. And so because I really wanna get at least a few more charcters that I like, I have been hunting on ebay, anime import sites and blogs for people who are willing to sell them. I'm hoping to get a Euphie chara, cause she's my favourite Geass character. >_< she's so damn cute!
I've just got to keep thinking 3 more days until winter break, and that everyone is wrong because Lulu is still alive!! (I'm sorry, it's already been 2 weeks since I rewatched the whole series with my sister, and I still can't get over the ending of Code Geass R2!!) >_< aaah... angry
And with this, I will now conclude my very first (and very awkward), but hopefully not my last blog post ever!! :D very happy and excited
And now for a piece of Code Geass musical goodness!
FLOW is awesome!
